Wireless communication

Wireless data transmission where radio waves are not effective or not permitted

for constrained environments (explosive, electrosensitive, humid, ultra secured)

STIMSHOP developed Wi-Us for the Gravelines EDF Nuclear Power Plant, an ultrasonic data transfer system. It is used for maintenance, where radio waves are not welcome.

It allows to communicate wirelessly from one position to another, up to 100m, in the same place.

Our Wi-Us ultrasound goes through most of the speakers (simple). It is picked up by standard microphones (universal). It matches with the shape of the place (secured).

Combined with a Speech to Text technology, we subtitle any vocal announcement to write it down on smartphones around.

What is said through the speakers is sended by ultrasound. The app will write the message on the smartphone for deaf people or when there is too much noise (train station, airport, stadium). It's alo relevant to send service messages silently.
We can also imagine sending written translations on smartphones during a show.

We broadcast our ultrasound signal around a dangerous zone to alert operators. The signal will be "heard" by an armband, a badge, a watch, a smartphone.
Relevant for cobotics, radiography, explosive areas, gammagraphy shots.
